TV STUDIOS

Or perhaps you require a complete temporary infrastructure featuring rigging, dimming and distribution. OUTSIDE BROADCASTS
Version 2 can support your outside broadcast whatever your location and its climate. Our past experiences span the globe, as such we are equally enabled to ship equipment abroad as well as servicing UK productions.

No project is too large or small - whether your production is simple exterior interview shoot or a large scale exterior game show we have the know-how. Our equipment systems are designed with the elements in mind, we insure our equipment is IP protected where possible or supported by specialist weather protection.

Our proprietary SMARTdistro systems are cutting edge and exceed BS7909 electrical requirements. Health and Safety is paramount to any location work and our Project Managers prepare full H&S paperwork including bespoke risk assessments and method statements.

Our location experience covers everything from warehouses, stately homes, airfields, places of worship to boats. We are able to offer total project support across lighting, rigging and power. Site power can include providing power from generators to supporting other facilities such as OB trucks, scanners and production villages.

LIVE EVENTS
Version 2 can draw upon expertise in all areas of entertainment industry no matter whether your event is broadcast live, recorded for DVD or for audience only. Our team’s past experience spans across multiple sectors including fashion, theatre, concert touring, corporate events and motor shows.

Our equipment inventory is versatile and has been carefully specified to ensure it’s equally adaptable to service live events. As such, all of our equipment is smartly presented in flight cases to event specifications. Furthermore our whole inventory boasts black connectors across all product lines, smart black clamps and stands are supplied as standard to meet corporate requirements.

If your live event is recorded for broadcast or DVD release we become your perfect partner having the experience and inventory which spans both the TV and events world. We are on hand to offer our experience to event LDs and lighting companies in making their production lighting TV friendly.

REALITY TV
Reality television has become a regular feature in scheduling in recent years, our Project Managers have supported some of the best known formats. Every production is truly unique and we take a ‘can do’ approach to support Lighting Directors and production companies from the initial concept stage all the way through the build process.

We have developed a strong understanding of this niche genre working closely with a small team of Gaffers and Electricians who are experts in this field. Lighting equipment supplied is generally varied from conventional rental products, all the way though to bespoke soft boxes and set practicals.

Large reality projects typically feature a high consumables spend on items such as electrical wiring and practical fittings. Our team are experts at sourcing such items and ensuring projects are delivered on time and on budget.

Our remit can extend beyond lighting and we have in the past provided full electrical services including domestic electrical installations, solenoid door releases, through to powering air-conditioning systems.

CUSTOM SOLUTIONS
Version 2 offer in house R&D, CAD and engineering services to provide our customers with bespoke end user’s solutions.

Clients repeatedly call upon us to provide CAD / 3D visualisations and walk throughs of both set and lighting designs. We have worked with some of the finest Lighting Directors and Production Designers to support them through the design process.

Our skill set allows us to design propriety systems in house such as the SMARTdistro and our North Light egg crate system. Our focus will always be on continuous improvement as we are fastidious about every element of our rental inventory.
