David is a BAFTA award winning lighting designer, who graduated from London's Royal Academy of Dramatic Art with honours in lighting design, and has gone on to work extensively in television, film, live events & music.
Over the past 20 years, David has worked on large scale events such as the Queen's Jubilee Concerts, Live Earth, The Royal Variety Performance and Children In Need; through global brands including Strictly Come Dancing (known internationally as Dancing With The Stars), the X Factor and "Got Talent" franchises; as well as major state occasions such as the wedding of HRH Prince Harry & Meghan Markle, HRH Prince Philip's funeral, State Opening of Parliament and the Grenfell Tower Memorial Service at St Paul's Cathedral. His work transcends nearly every genre - from entertainment television, through live events, awards shows, reality, televised theatre and performance art. He also works in architectural lighting design, and is lighting consultant to the Palace of Westminster.
From extravagant one off specials events down to the most straightforward, small shoot, David prides himself on being able to deliver excellence in design and full commitment to every project without fail.
David is passionate about the wellbeing of those around him, particularly in the sometimes high-stress environment of show production and has recently become a qualified Mental Health First Aider with MHFA England. He is also co-founder of the charity CraftAidUK which supports ex-street children in Kampala, Uganda.
