The 'My Account' dropdown presented to Members who're logged into the site provides a handy navigation to three parts:
You can edit your online profile while logged in. Your profile is a public biography of who you are and what experience you have within the industry. Unless stated otherwise, changes save automatically as you go — there's no need to click a separate save button.
You can add a picture of yourself so others can find you easily on our site.
The ideal aspect ratio for Profile pictures is square, 1:1 and we'd suggest cropping it to be a headshot.
Your cover image is the top banner picture, this is a landscape picture which you can use to showcase your work, a latest project, a picture of yourself or anything else you can think of. The ideal image aspect ratio is 6:1, images in this aspect will work best but you can upload any images in landscape orientation.
By default, your Cover image will be repeated at the footer of your profile but you can replace this image independently should you wish to.
The ideal image aspect ratio is 6:1 for the contact Image
You can add more images of your work to your profile for others to find within the Gallery. These can be of any aspect ratio.
Your 'Bio' or Biography is a paragraph or two about yourself, this is where you can give people a brief overview of who you are and how you fit into the industry.
Your 'Roles' is made of two sections, firstly a section where individuals can add roles they undertake within the industry and a separate section where you can add a paragraph about the roles you've undertaken should you wish to expand and add more detail.
Your 'Specialisms' allow you to highlight the specific areas of the industry you focus on or excel in. You can select from a list of predefined specialisms that best describe your expertise. These appear on your profile to help others quickly understand your niche within the industry.
Your 'Credits' section is where you can list your professional work history and project credits. You can add individual credits including the production name, your role, the company or venue, and the year. This builds a chronological record of your industry experience visible on your public profile.
For example: The Crown / Gaffer / Netflix / Left Bank Pictures / 2022
You can manage the contact information held on your account. None of this information is displayed publicly or shared with other members. Your email address allows other members to contact you via the website — their message is forwarded to you without revealing your address. Your phone number and postal address are used by the membership team for administrative purposes only.
The 'Bullet Points' section lets you add a short list of quick facts or highlights about yourself — things like awards, notable achievements, or key skills. These appear prominently on your profile and give visitors an at-a-glance summary of what makes you stand out.
